1. Synthesis of organosilicon materials: It undergoes hydrolysis and polycondensation reactions to produce silicone resin, methyl silicone oil and silicone rubber.
2. Production of fumed silica: High-temperature hydrolysis yields fumed silica, which serves as a reinforcing filler for rubber and coatings.
3. Synthesis of silane coupling agents and crosslinkers: It is used to prepare silane derivatives such as methyltrimethoxysilane for dealcoholized silicone sealants and silane coupling agents.
