    Used as a highly active catalyst and antioxidant in the production of polyurethanes, room temperature curing silicone rubber and other products.It features high catalytic efficiency, controllable stability, and is more environmentally friendly and safer.The product is insoluble in water, soluble in petroleum ether and polyols.

    Product Application

    It is commonly used as a catalyst for polyurethane products and room temperature curing silicone rubber.As a divalent tin compound, it is easily oxidized to tetravalent tin compound after foaming. Remaining in the foam, it acts as an antioxidant without adverse effects on the foam. It is also used as a catalytic curing agent for epoxy resins. Stannous octoate exhibits higher catalytic activity than dibutyltin dilaurate during curing, and a combined use of the two delivers better performance than using either alone.


    Storage Precautions

    As divalent tin compounds are prone to oxidation and decomposition by oxygen and moisture in the air, the product shall be protected by nitrogen, tightly sealed, and kept away from high temperatures and excessive humidity to prevent activity reduction or failure. Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse, and keep separately from oxidizing agents.
