Zinc chloride
Zinc chloride is one of the important commodities in the inorganic salt industry, with a wide range of applications, many of which are used in printing and dyeing factories and the production of dyes. Zinc chloride is easily soluble in water, soluble in methanol, ethanol, glycerol, ether, and acetone. It is not soluble in liquid chlorine and has strong deliquescence. It can absorb moisture from the air and deliquescence, and has the characteristic of dissolving metal oxides and cellulose. Molten zinc chloride has excellent conductivity. Deep white smoke is generated when it is hot.
