    1.Ultra-high bromine loading (72.5 %) delivers more fire-suppressing efficiency per part than most aryl flame-retardant additives, allowing lower dosage and minimal impact on polymer mechanicals.

    2.Excellent thermal stability: begins to decompose above 230 °C, providing a wide processing window for thermoplastics such as PET, PBT, ABS and HIPS.

    3.Low smoke & low acid-gas emission during combustion; LOI values > 30 and UL-94 V-0 ratings are routinely achieved at 8–12 phr, meeting stringent FRLS cable and electronics standards.

    4.Dual-function molecule: acts both as an active flame-retardant and as a brominating agent in fine-chemical synthesis, reducing the need for elemental bromine or hazardous reagents.

    5.Readily soluble in common industrial solvents (ethers, ketones, aqueous alkali) yet only 0.2 g L⁻¹ in water, facilitating easy recovery and low aquatic-leaching risk.

    6.Stable crystalline solid (m.p. 92–95 °C) with low hygroscopicity; non-volatile under ambient conditions, simplifying storage and handling compared with liquid bromine derivatives.

    7.High chemical purity (≥ 99 % HPLC) and low ionic residue (< 10 ppm heavy metals) make it suitable for electronic, pharmaceutical and photographic-grade applications.

    8.Favorable toxicological profile—non-carcinogenic, non-mutagenic, not listed in major hazardous chemical inventories, allowing simpler regulatory compliance and transport.

    9.Compatible with existing epoxy, polyurethane and polyester curing chemistries; improves melt flow and impact strength when used as a reactive end-capper.
