Product Usage
This product is primarily employed as a polymerization inhibitor for the production, storage and transportation of vinyl monomers such as acrylonitrile, acrylic acid and its esters, and methacrylic acid and its esters. Its key advantage is that the monomer can be polymerized directly without removing the contained 4-methoxyphenol (MEHQ). It is also used in the synthesis of antioxidants, anti-aging agents and plasticizers.
